Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is not aware that he has a woman’s name. This shocking news was revealed after a letter was received from a French diplomat to his office, addressed to “Madame Vivian Balakrishnan”. The minister then went on to assure the Singapore public that he is indeed, yes, a man. As the word “yes man” is common in Singapore, but “yes woman” is not common, most Singaporeans believe the minister is telling the truth.

To be fair here, Vivian is actually a gender-neutral name. You’d be surprised how many men there are in Spain carrying Maria as their middle names, and don’t forget that John Wayne’s real name was Marion Morrison.

When he was born the parents must have struggled to see his genitals. The mother must have wanted a girl, so named him a gender-ambigious Vivian. Cheez…what a stupid name.
Yes same thing happened to us. We named our kitten cat Lucy as my partner could not find a penis(was too small to notice). Later on when the cat grew and balls more established we named him Lucifer.
